Questionpresently using a ball with finger inserts and have a brand new ball that i need drilled. i can get the inserts from ebay to make my cost cheaper but how do i get the size of the one that i need to use, can i get it from my old ball's inserts? have not tried using a thumb slug, would that make it easier for me to release my ball since i am having some issues with it after a few games. how do i get the size of the slugs too? thanks
AnswerThe inserts should have a number on the inside that you might be able to see. Sometimes they can be very hard to see so you might have to take them out to get the size. This may not be worth it if they are glued in really well because you will tear them up and end up buying two pair. If the ones you can get on Ebay are Tenth Frame and the ones you use are not, the sizes will be different............so take care with that.
Thumb slugs come in different diameters so it depends on how large your thumb hole is. I would be you would be safe just ordering one that is 1 1/4, but I would have to know your thumb size to tell you for sure.
Good luck,
