Question
i am a new bowler over 55. i have a  lot of trouble with my release and im often told that im droping the ball.i switched to a lighter ball from 14 to 12 lbs but i still have this problem and cant seem to get a good roll on the ball. i try to loft it out over the foul line but it seems to come crashing straight down and loses its foward momentum. I would appreciate any advice

Answer
William,
I'd really like to watch you bowl, this would help me help you. If you have a problem dropping the ball, have the fit double checked, it could be off. As for releasing the ball, don't turn or spin your wrist. Lock it in place and let the ball roll off your fingers. It should contact the lane on a glide, like a plane landing on a run way. If it crashes down, you are lofting too much and killing your roll. Thanks Joe
