Question
have noticed on tv balls drilled with the pin below fingers (norm duke ) where is cg  ?balance hole ? what does this do ?

Answer
Placing the pin below the fingers will make the ball read the lane a bit sooner.  It tends to be very predictable and less over reactive.  Placment of the CG will determine the need for the extra hole and that would help build the shape of the breakpoint.  CG to the right will produce and arcing type of reaction while keeping the CG near the center will have a bit more of a snap reaction.

Good luck,
Chip

This layour also allows the bowler to be creative with hand positions as well.
