Question
Hello,

i have been bowling for less then a year now and i want to improve my game as much as possible. I have been told on my backswing that my wrist collapses. What can be the cause of this?  And how can i fix it?  Should i be using a wrist guard?

Your time and answers are greatly appreciated.

Answer
I wrist support may help some, but it would have to be one with a lot of support on both sides of the wrist.  The collapse of the wrist is due to forcing the downward movement of the backswing.  This causes the arm to accelerate quicker than the ball and making the wrist collapse.  If you can relaxe the armswing, the ball will initiate the downswing and actually cause a slight cupping of the wrist with no effort.

Good luck,
Chip
