Bowling/gauges in new ball

Question
I just received my new Ebonite tornado from my local pro shop and have had it literally two days. I have bowled two games with it and when i was whipping it down to put it in my bag I noticed three gauges about half inch long and eight inch wide and fairly deep. One even looks like a chunk came out of it. I am very concerned since the ball has not been dropped or mishandled. Also my girlfriend and her brother both have Ebonite balls that are older and they are perfect. I was told you are the guy to go to for Ebonite questions. I was wondering if there is some kind of warranty on the ball and if not what should I do.

Answer
From the sounds of it, that is not a ball defect issue.  It sounds like your ball was damaged by the lane or the machine.  I am sure your pro shop could fix it.  Some bowling centers will even pay to have that done since the ball is so new.

Good luck,
