Question
Hello, I am fairly new at bowling and am having trouble finding a comfortable way to grip the ball.I have found that when I only use two fingers to grip the ball I can get good spin on the ball but lack good control. When I use a three finger grip with the thumb I get very little spin but better control.Should the thumbhole on my ball be plugged and redrilled to allow for more spin ?

Answer
If your ball is drilled conventional, then changing it to a finger tip grip would help with that.
Only using two fingers can help create rotation, but as you have found out, control is an issue.
Try to work on rolling the ball and developing some control and then work on the stronger release.

Good luck,
Chip
