hi!

i have recently been bowling with a house ball lately and i hook
without the thumb...it felt pretty comfortable doing it that way but than i
just noticed a guy doing the very same thing with a house ball except he
does it with the thumb unfortunately he doesnt speak english so there
was a problem there... anywayz i tried it with the thumb but all the
ball does was spin intead of hooking... please help me with this situation

You have to consciously decide whether you want to watch the ball hook or you want to bowl well. If you decide you want to bowl good, go to a competent pro shop and get a ball drilled just for your hand, including the thumb. Practice throwing the ball with the same hand action as tossing a small football underhanded and making it spiral. Even practice with a smal football will help you train the muscle memory. Good luck
