Question -
hey whats going on my name is mike i have been bowling for about a couple of years, and i hold the ball different i only use two fingers i just don't use my thumb. so when i release i get a spin going and a hook .i get strikes almost every time and i pick up every spare. i was wondering is this bad and how do you get a better hook  i am a lefty

Answer -
There have only been a handfull of bowlers that havee had success with the thumbless delivery, but it sounds like you are happy with what you have.  If it works for you then it is not bad.  Most people will start throwing a hook this way because it is the easiest way to gain enough rotation to see hook.  It is harder to control than the conventional 3 hole grip.
If you arent having any trouble, then I would not look at changing anything.

Good luck,
Chip

Answer
It depends on what kind of reaction you are looking for.  Most people that dont use their thumbs dont need a high end big hooking ball.  Most of the bowlers here that bowl like you I start out with an entry level reactive ball like the Tropical Storm.  Your local pro shop can best advise you by watching you bowl.

Good luck,
Chip
