Bowling/hot spot on thumb

Question
Hey chip, i just started taking bowling more serious and went out and got a ball about a week ago and i noticed when i bowl that on the inside of my thumb i get a hot spot or a sore what ever you want to call it, its a little above the inside of my thumb knuckle,  so i was wondering what i can do to fix it

Answer
The easiest thing to try is to open up or shape the thumb hole in the direction of the spot.  IF that does not help, you will need to have the pitch adjusted towards that spot.
Check to make sure the thumb is not so big as to make you want to squeeze the ball to hold onto it.

Good luck,
Chip
