Bowling/inconsistent ball reaction

Question
I am using a Brunswick monster slay/r pearl ball.I feel I am a good bowler and am very consistent with my delivery, and accurate. I have a good feel for my game; I know when I have made a mistake in my delivery and can correct it fairly easily. (most of the time)
My problem now is that over the last 3-4 weeks I have been getting inconsistent ball reactions in the back end of the lane. To further explain, I can make a rock solid delivery, feel that the shot was perfect, watch the ball roll over my target and head for the pocket only to come up short and hit light. The next ball may come up too high, and the next will be flush in the pocket and strike. Is this an equipment problem or is it something I am doing so slightly that I am not noticing my error?
Thanks for any advice you may have.

Answer
Any type of pearlized ball will have a tendancy to be over/under.  They are much more sensitive to changes in lane conditions and ball speed changes.  If you want to smooth out this balls reaction, take 800 or 1000 grit sanpaper and take a bit of the shine off of the ball.  You may also look at going with a solid coverstock on your next ball.

Good luck,
