If you want to create hold in the middle of the lanes while you practice before you bowl for score, would you throw plastic or urathane equipment and why?

Answer
Plastic will carry the oil down the lane better than what urethane will.  
There are two ways that people try to manipulate tha lane condition.  

1)  Plastic down the middle to create hold.

2)  Sanded resin to burn a track to the outside.

I have seen the dull ball used to create room to the outside more than the plastic to create hold.
