Bowling/lofting

Question
I've just started bowling again and noticed that I'm lofting the ball.  I've been reading the different discussions about this topic and I'm concerned about my delivery. When I release the ball, my hand is between 1 to 1 1/2 ft. above the lane and the ball lands on or before the dots on the lane before the arrows. There is no lift or lobbing on the ball for extra height. I'm working on lowering my body positioning to get my release lower.  Just concerned.

Thank you in advance for your response.

Answer
You may be concentrating on imparting lift to the ball.  It may also be a timing issue.  If your feet get ahead of the swing, you will have to pull through the shot to get the ball back into the finishing position.  This will cause you to loft the ball.  Try getting the ball into the swing faster and that may help as well.  Watch that when you try to get lower that you arent just bending at the waist and not at the knee.

Good luck,
Chip
