Hi
I was wondering if you could help me. I need a good 8 pound ball for a
beginner bowler who basically throws the ball straight. I havent bowled in like
20 years and am just starting to get back into it, and am getting very frustrated
using beat up house balls. Thanks in advance!

Any basic polyester ball will work for you. Seek out a local bowling store and you'll get a fit that should make the game a little easier. Minimal grip pressure will help the new bowler manage the new ball without the death grip necessary for house balls.

Some big box retailers like K-Mart have resorted to pre-drilled balls from China. Any way you look at it, it's a NOT custom fit "house ball." Very bad idea.
