Question
i just recently bought the t-road solid & had drilled with a alot of side weight. Now is this drilling helpful or harmful for a full roller bowler? I'm a rty, PAP 5 3/16 x 1/2.

Answer
First, maximum side weight in a drilled ball is 1 ounce. What do you mean by a lot of side weight? What are the other weights (top weight and finger weight)? Close to maximums in static weights for a full roller can create problems if not suited to your ball speed and the lane condition. How hard do you throw the ball? Ball speed can benefit or hinder the reaction of a full roller delivery. Is the lane condition you typically bowl on considered oily, medium or dry, my most of the other bowlers?

A full roller tracks between the finger holes and thumb hole, with the Pin/top of the weight block to the left of the thumb hole for a righty. Is this the way your ball is drilled? Is your vertical axis co-ordinate up or down (the ½)? Do you clip any of your gripping holes? What is the ball doing? What kind of ball did you throw previously?

Haven't heard back. If your not sure about the answers to my questions, please let me know. Bowlers with performance equipment deserve to get performance. It's a pet peeve of mine, when expensive equipment doesn't perform, and often unasked questions (by driller or customer), or unidentified conditions (not just lane conditions) are the unknown factor. I look forward to hearing back from you.
