Question
How do you score consecutive strikes in a game? Could you give me an example?

Answer
Curt,
Sorry it took a couple days to answer your question...
I take it you mean add the score? Simple, a strike is 10 plus the next two balls. Let's say in frame 1 you went 9-spare, frame two you went 8-1. Frame 1 would be 10 plus next ball, you'd have 18 in frame. Frame 2 would simply add 9 (for the 8-1) to the 18 for 27 in frame 2. Let's say you the throw a 5 bagger, frames 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7. For the score in frame three, add 30 (10 plus the next two balls) to the 27 in frame 2. Do the same untill you stop striking. You'd have 87 in the 4th, 117 in the 5th. let's say you count 9 in frame 8. For the score in frame 6 you add 29, (10 for the frame 6 strike plus the next two balls, a strike in frame 7, a 9 count in frame 8), giving you a 146 in frame 6. Let's put a spare in the 8th, for a 166 in the 7th. Let's say you strike out, since a spare is 10 for the spare plus the next ball, you'd add 20 to frame 7 for a 186 in the 8th. Strike spare, or spare strike is always plus 20. Following the same formula, you'd add 30 in frame 9 for 216, and 30 again in frame 10 for 246.
Remember a spare is 10 plus the next ball. A strike is 10 plus the next 2 balls. (the 10 is the count for the frame you are adding next). An open you add to the open frame.
If you have more questions let me know. Thanks Joe.
