Bowling/sore thumb

Question
The inside of the end of my bowling hand (right) thumb is bruised and sore from bowling. I bowl straight (without a curve) and only average 110's to 120's. Is there anything you can tell me that I can do to correct the thumb problem, which may also improve my average, without watching me bowl?

Answer
Are you using a ball that has been drilled for you or are you using a house ball?
To get any suggestions on this type of problem, you would need to go to a local pro shop and have them look at it.  It could be from the way the ball fits, or something in your technique which is causing it.
I am sorry but I really cant give a better answer without seeing the problem in person.

Good luck,
Chip
