Bowling/thumb angle

Question
What are the determining factors in fitting your thumb to a slug or thumb hole and what differences are there in the angle the hole is drilled.

Answer
In fitting for size, you want a hole that produces light friction when the thumb enters and exits the hole.  This will lessen the need to "grip" or "squeeze" the ball.

The starting angle is determined by the length of the span.  Slight adjustments are made for hand types and skin types.  The latest trend is to cut back on the reverse.

Good luck,
