Question
Hi Chip,

I am Rich from las vegas and I just got a new V2, and when I went to use it, I do not feel like my hand fits comfortably in the ball.  I feel like I need to physically stretch my hand to get the appropriate length of both my fingers and thumb into the ball (it is a fingertip grip).  This is my first fingertip ball, so I dont know if this is correct or not, as I used to just palm hook house balls.  If this is a problem, how can it be rectified?

thanks,
rich

Answer
With the fingertip grip, your fingers will be inserted into the holes up to the first joint line.  Make sure you are not tryint to put your fingers in deeper than that.

If you want to look at what the proper or relaxed grip would be, place your thumb in the ball and lay your fingers over the finger holes.  The edge of the hole closest to the thumb hole should hit your fingers about halfway between the two joints on your fingers.  It sounds like you may have a stretched fingertip grip.  It does work for some people, but puts stress on the hand for others.  It would require to plug or slug the thumb hole to shorten the span.

Good luck,
Chip
