Bowling/track on thumb hole

Question
Hi Chip.

I have been having issues with my ball track catching the thumb hole.  I have often heard that moving the pin above and to the right of the ring finger will help this situation, but have had no luck with my local pro shop.

For some reason they always place the pin slightly under and right of the ring finger.  The result is always a track over thumb hole. (yes, I always tell them I have a track problem and this is what I am trying to avoid)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Answer
If you want to try something, try placing the pin below and right of the ring finger with the CG below your centerline.  Place the extra hole in the thumb quadrant.  This will increase the flare potential and maybe get it off of your thumb hole faster.  It will not keep it off of the thumb.  That is usually a release issue.

Good luck,
Chip
