Boxers/baths

Question
Hi i have a four month old boxer and was wondering was the best stuff to use to give him a bath and how often he should have a bath

Answer
You might not believe this, but use Dawn dish soap.

Dawn is gentle, foams well, must be rinsed more than a shampoo though, and is natural, a non-irritant to skin, and kills fleas.

You can bathe him often with Dawn because it doesn't have chemicals.

It must be Dawn and not any other brand of dish soap.

I like the pump Dawn personally.

I recommend bathing him once every 2 weeks. Especially to help him adjust to baths and accept them as routine. Then after he has adjusted well to baths, once a month is fine.

Be gentle with him and praise him the entire time you are bathing him, in a happy, upbeat voice to make it a happy time. Maybe have some floating toys, like baby plastic rings that are stacked on the cone, so his attention will be on the floating rings and not the chore.

Have a fun time :)
