Question
Our white Boxer, about 9+ years old; from what we read already in one of
your answers, she appears to have hip displaysure (sp) and her back legs slip
out from under her when she pees.  She also has begun panting a lot and
today peed in the house (which she has never done).  She is great about
letting us know when she needs to go out.  What do you think is wrong with
her and is there something we can do?  Thank you.

Answer
At that age, it is probably bladder control- like our elderly.

She can't help it.

Take her to your vet, there might be a medicine she can take to help her, like our elderly take.

In the meantime, you can buy a "seasonal" pantie at your pet store, and put mini-pads in it to help her out.

Tell your vet about her legs slipping out on her. I imagine she can't control the position with her hip problem, but you want to be sure that is all it is.

The pantie and pads will her.

Take care of her, she is very old for a Boxer.

Ask for a pain medicine and something for her hips. A good diet helps-- no corn in the food- and all natural.
