Question
my sister has a six month old boxer and he is eating and gaining weight properly but she is concerned because he is not the size of other boxers his age. i was wondering how tall and how much they should weigh at six months?

Answer
There are small framed Boxers, medium, and larger framed Boxers.

Just like people, they differ somewhat.

If she is concerned, take him to the vet and have his thyroid checked. It's a common condition in Boxers.

Boxers range from females weighing 48-60 lbs. and males 60-90 lobs. Grown.

He should weigh half of what he'll weigh by 1 year old, thereabouts.

Talk to the vet about the thyroid and weigh him and ask if he is in normal range.

I have a female that weighs 50 lbs. and her 3 1/2 month old puppy that weighs 25 lbs.
