Question
Hello there, hope you can help me.

I have 2 boxers a dog and bitch there not related and the bitch is due to have her first season soon and wondered if you  had any ideas on how to keep the dogs apart or stop the male from trying to mate with her as i am ware that it is not wise for her to have a litter straight away and i don't want them thinking i'm being cruel by keeping them apart.

And also i have heard that people put nappies on there dogs while there in season? is this ok to do? or are there any options out there as i have a daughter that rolls around the floor at the minute as she can't walk yet and didn't want to keep her off the floor or keep the bitch outside.

Any ideas and advice would be much appreciated, thanx

Answer
The best you can do is go to a pet store and look at the "season/heat" panties and pads. Personally, I buy regular women's mini-pads as it's cheaper. Buy a pantie that is thick and durable. I use a denim one myself. Secure it better with safety pins or baby diaper pins as the velcro fasteners are not as secure.

This is a dual purpose pantie: 1) her season/heat and 2) using it as a chastity belt keeping the male from entering her.

Of course, you must be sensible too: keep them from trying, and keep them apart when you can not supervise them together. You must work at this or you will end up with a litter of puppies in the end.

First heat is way too young to get pregnant. She must be at least 2 years old before getting pregnant without a higher risk of complications.
