Question
Please help, My boxer can possibly be pregnant. She is two years old and is in the third or fourth week from my caculations. She is acting different depressed not as energetic and playful. She gained three ponds since but I am anxious because I am not sure. Yes her nipples are abit bigger or swollen but I need more answers and information on how to tell? Please Help we with the most information you possibly can I am very confused.

Answer
Gestation period (length of pregnancy) is 58-63 days from fertilization.

Her behavior will change; more dominate, aggressive, listless, clingly to you, etc.

Take her to the vet. He will exam her, x-ray her and see IF she is pregnant and how many puppies, there approx. age, and due date.

Feed her a good quality puppy chow/food for a higher protein diet, and plenty of fresh water, and get a can of powdered canine replacement milk to mix according to directions, with water, and give her that too. You can buy it at your grocery store and pet store. Grocery stores carry Hartz brand.

Ask your vet about vitamins, etc.

Let me know.
