Question
Hello,
My dog got hold of one peanut last night and ate it before I could stop her.
I am noticing her eyes are now swollen almost closed with discharge coming out.
She is about 5 years old but the rest of her behavior is normal.
Any ideas?
Thank You

Answer
Your boxer is most likely having an allergic reaction.  If not to the peanut, then to something else she got in contact with.  For now i would suggest some benadryl to help with the swelling until you can get to the vet.

But i do highly suggest keeping the area clean to prevent from infection because of all the discharge it will be a breeding ground for bacteria.  But definitely visit the vet so you know for sure that nothing too serious is going on.
