Question
We just bought a rescue boxer dog that is 3 years old and he has a very crooked jaw. What would be the cause of this?Does crooked jaw run in boxer dogs?

Answer
No, crooked jaw does not run in any dog breed.  A trait of the boxer breed is a large underbite, but not a crooked jaw.

It is very possible that your boxer could have a crooked jaw because he was abused in his past or possibly encountered some trauma such as being hit by a car that caused a fracture that probably did not heal correctly.

X-Rays would verify the situation, did you ask why the dogs jaw was crooked when you got him?
