Question
could you help me, I have a 3 year old boxer bitch who has developed small spots on the edges of her ears, some of them seem to be scabby. She doesnt like me touching them.

Answer
It sounds like a fly and/or flea bite dermatis.

It has scabs because she is scratching them.

Use a itch medication for dogs, the "hot spot" medicine.

Dab it on the spots with a Q-Tip.

Check the inside of her ears-- she could have fleas in them, and mites as well.

Use mite drops in her ears as directed.

If it doesn't clear up within 2 weeks, take her to your vet to rule out allergies.
