Question
My puppy is a mix between two purebreds, a boxer and a black lab. At 12 weeks
old she already weighs 30 pounds and her paws are huge. Is she ratter large for
her age and breed? She is long legged and tall. How big is she going to get? i
read the other info on boxers, but it seems my lilly looks like she will reach 100
pounds. Am I wrong?

Answer
Hi Delaina. It sounds like your girl is going to be big. However, it's really hard to say for sure what she's going to end up weighing. Her growth may slow down quite a bit after a few months, or she may take off and continue to grow. Boxers aren't suppose to be huge dogs, the females usually go between 55-65 pounds, this is the average. THe lab is a pretty big dog, she may get her size from the lab part of her. It's just really hard to say for sure how big she's going to turn out. Good luck with your girl, she sounds like a nice girl.:-)

Education/Credentials
I took a two semester course to become a vet assistant. I didn't go further in it because I had a child.
