Boxers/Boxer pigment change-hair loss

Question
My male boxer who is 2 1/2 years old seems to have hair loss and/or pigment change around his eyes, nose and mouth area.  His black nose seems to be getting pink areas.  Around his eyes there is a pink pigmentation and/or hair loss which is also around his jowls/lip area.  Can you please tell me what is going on?

Hi Jama,
What you have described sounds like an allergy or mange.Have your vet take a look and maybe ask for a skin scrapping to determine if it is mites or allergies. Have you changed his food ? bedding? sprayed your yard ? Used any kind of new cleaning products lately ? Be sure an change his bowls to stainless steel too, many dogs are allergic to plastic. Even a flea could cause it so its worth having him checked out before it gets out of hand. Hope this information is helpful.Thanks for your question.
