My husband wants a boxer and I was thinking to surprise him with one.  I am not sure where to begin looking as I want to get one from a good breeder.  I want a good healthy puppy, with all the shots, tests, etc.  I am not sure if its better to get a male or a female.  We live in the ny area and we have a small child.  Please advise.  Thank you.

Hi. I'm going to give you a really good web site at the bottom of this letter. It will help you find a great breeder. as for male or female, it's a personal choice. Males do get bigger, and can be harder to handle. For first time puppy owners I would suggest a female, especially because you have a small child. Good luck!
