Question
i have a 12 month old  male boxer puppy and was wandering if he is under weight as he only weighs 68 pounds. i feed him twice a day and you can still see every rib. if you could give me any feed back it would be much appreciated cheers.

Hi Julez,
The average weight of an American male boxer would be 70-75 lbs when matured at 2 years old, the average Euro boxer would be about 75-80 lbs. Your boxer seems to be on track. Check the label of the dog food you are feeding and see what it says you should be feeding for a 70-80 lb dog when grown and go with that amount. I personally will adjust the amount to more or less depending on if I think the dog needs to gain a few pounds or feed alittle less if the dog needs to loose a few pounds. During the growing stage your boxer is in right now you can expect him to grow taller before filling out so its not uncommon to see the ribs, altho I don't like to see the ribs either you should be able to feel them.
