i have a 9 week old boxer named TYSON. who i love. i am having problems getting him to walk for me. He only walks on his leash when he wants to (lol). What suggestions can you give me...
Yesterday he was in a good mood because he walked for me for about 20 minutes on his leash. When he doesnt want to walk,he wont...
also i saw your recipe for formul for feeding him. i am going to try that today along with his eukanuba...I took him to the vet on 8/31/09 and he weighed 7.5lbs  and he was 7 1/2 weeks old...
He is so loving and warm...

Hi. He is still a baby yet. You need to keep leash training short and sweet. At 9 weeks, anything over 20 minutes is too much. Get him used to wearing it around the house, walk him on it inside or out in the back yard. don't expect him to go on long walks right now, wait until he's about 6 months old before taking those long wals. You can hurt his joints and such if you force him to do it now. However, you do want him to walk correctly on a leash so get him use to it around the house, use treats if you have to, but always end on a good note, with lots of praise. And remember, he's just a baby still. Good luck!
