Question
Hi,my boxer is a 8/9 month old bitch and i have recently had here at the vet a few times, firstlt she was passing blood and mucus in her stools ,the vet diagnosed collitis and treated with injections and limited easy digest food for a period of time,i was told it would clear up almost immediately and pretty much did.The last time it appeared that she was again passing blood in stools so i took her back but this time the vet (different vet same practice) diagnosed some sort of food poisoning or stomach bug and prescribed the same food and antibiotics this time round. She has just finished her course of medication,i noticed this morning that she had a small amount of blood which appeared to have dripped from her behind,i cleaned this and noted that the blood would be best described as fresh and clean, leaving me to query how this blood could have passed through her digestive system and remained so clean, unlike the collitis which was only evident in stools and not clean. It looks to me more like a cut near her anus which is bleeding although there is none.Other than being a wee bit lathargic and clingy she is absolutely fine eating well and shows no signs of being in any pain or discomfort.

Also i have found a small wart in one of her ears while i was treating an infection /rash and the rash also now has spread to two of the creases on her muzzle just below her mouth.

I would really appreciate it if you could shed some light on any/all of these issues.

Many Thanks , Brian

Answer
Brian, this is far beyond the scope of my expertise.

I would have said the clean blood possibly a heat and from her vagina and not anus, but with prior history- I couldn't say.

You need a vet that will x-ray her, sonar gram her- test her- do something to get down to the root of this problem before there is permanent damage or her death.

Get a new vet willingly to test her and resolve the problem.
