Boxers/Stud out my male

Question
I have a question that I probably know the answer to already. I have a pure bred 1 year old boxer. I never was able to contact the people we got him from to get papers. I know for a fact that he has great bloodlines and is not mixed. I really want to stud him out and get a puppy from him, but I am afraid since he does not have papers no one would want to. What are my options?

Answer
Call or email the AKC: there is a lot of Online Q & As also.

If you register him at the Dog Registry of America (Online) and fill out the info and pay the fee; AKC will accept that registration for valid.

That is what I did with one of mine.

AKC does bring more profit than non-registered.

However, you can still advertise him for stud that is not registered for those people that do not care one way or the other, however, Dog Registry of America is valid, and as I mentioned, AKC will accept it to register him.
