Question
I have a 2 year old fawn boxer "in season". We have many people
wanting a pup from her. We prefer her coloring but some people want
"brindle" pups. If we pick a brindle colored stud, will we get all brindle
pups? I just love the fawn and don't know what the heck to do!
It depends on his brindle gene.
There is a dominate brindle which is referred to as double brindle and a single brindle is not dominate.
A dominate brindle gene and a fawn will produce 100% brindle pups that will be single brindle gene (because of the fawn parent).
Fawn and single brindle gene will produce 50% and 50% .
So it will depend on the gene of the brindle sire.
