Question
im adopting a male boxer approx. 6-8 years of age. the owner has had him since he was a pup and she said he doesnt have any health problems that she knows of. ive seen how she cares for him and she has all his vet papers he is very loved shes going back to school and cant take him with her. he doesnt look old at or act old at all. how can i find out how old he is and is it expensive?

Answer
Call her vet since you have all the vet papers. They have his birth date in his file.

Also, if he is AKC registered, his birth date will be on the registration. Even if he is registered elsewhere- birth date is listed.

Ask the lady you are getting him from, she knows. Then verify with her vet. Vets also can guess by their teeth- but it spans a few years on guessing.
