Question

pup half german
I am considering purchasing this pup but I am not sure due to the coat color if he is really purebred. The dam looks questionable to me, perhaps you could look at the pics of both and help me. The dam is american and the pup is half german. sorry..I guess I can only give 1 pic i will follow this with a pic of the dam

Answer
There really is no difference between an American Boxer and a German Boxer excepts for the standards set. After all, all Boxers originated from Germany.

As I mentioned in the other answer to you, she is a reverse Brindle giving the appearance of being black, which there is no such thing as a black Boxer. This pup also looks like a reverse Brindle.

What did the breeder tell you?

They both are gorgeous, and reverse Brindles are not as common as a regular Brindle and the Fawns.
