Question
My boxer ecently developed a deep cough.  We took him to the vet and was diagnosed with basic cold symptoms. He was put on Dyoxycycline and since wet his crate on two different occasions. COuld this be a result of the antibiotics?

Answer
Antibiotics  can have different effects on different dogs- just like people.

I haven't heard of the side effect of wetting, but it might be because of being crated.

His cough and medication combination can cause irregularities- probably increased need to urinate more than normal-- and being crated prohibits it, so he has no choice.

Bear with it until the medication is finished or arrange a different care situation; someone come let him out frequently for awhile.
