Question
We have a farely large kennel so my boxer can have a little room. When I am home he never has an accident in the house, however when I leave even for an hour or less he almost always defficates in his kennel. I have no idea what to do. We even put the seperator in to make his kennel smaller and yet ihe still dose it. Do you have any answers why this happens?

Answer
Hi Darren,

It is most likely a separation anxiety issue if the dog isn't being let outside on a regular schedule to relieve himself. Please see this article for more information
http://www.hitowerboxers.com/separationanxiety.htm , dogs thrive with a regular daily routine so if your not already doing this then it can greatly increase your chances of eliminating the behavior. Thank you for your question.
