Boxers/Contract of Sale

Question
We recently had a litter of boxer pups. Mom is not registered but dad is AKC- Champion bloodline. I heard that we should get a contract of sale (for colorado) for each sale. I don't know where to begin. Do we have to create that contract eventhough the litter is not registered? If so, can you help me with that?

Thanks!

Answer
There is no such thing as a contract- and I do believe it is a sales receipt proving the puppy was sold to them by you.

Go to any Boxer breeder website, and most have "contact" agreements.

It could be that you guarantee the litter (puppy) for good health for x amount of days, that the parents are health checked and have no health issues, and that you will not be responsible after x amount of days, etc.

It is just simple data that you already have on the parents pertaining to the puppy being sold.
