Question
My boxer is 3 and a half yrs old, she has recently developed 4 black spots over her kidney area (2 over her kidney area and other 2 over her hind legs) exactly same shape on skin and fur and parallel to each other. It is on her skin through her fur and has come through her fur on exact same area as well.  She is a brown and white boxer.

I recently had to hold her back from running to a dog that was barking at her from our gate, i had to hold her tight and I hope that I am not the cause of this as it seems to be in the exact same place that I held her.  Could it be bruises from holding her back??? she is a big strong dog, it took all of my strength to hold her.  She is still in bright happy spirits and does not seem ill in any way.  She is eating, drinking and pooing and peeing as normal.

I would really appreciate any advice you can give me and I will rate and respond to any reply with many thanks.  I love this dog.

Thank you.

Answer
The spots are probably the normal spots on a Boxer's skin that you can see. Look at her stomach. But, she should not have spots showing under her coat- if she does, ask your vet.

If you think they are bruises, tell your vet what happened. She shouldn't bruise that easily.
