Question
Hello!
I have a 6 m/o boxer and he has not been eating very much lately. We changed his food a couple times and either way he only picks, when a couple of weeks ago he couldn't eat enough. He will eat treats and rawhides etc...but only eats a mouthful or two a day. He is drinking a lot of water and I thought that may have been the reason so now I put water out for him 3-4 times a day to see if that would help him eat more but it didn't...his energy is fine he still will play and play and play. Should I be concerned?

Answer
Hi Melissa,
Yes you should be concerned. He should be eating alot more. You might try the food he was on when he was eating more , dogs can be as finicky as people when it comes to food and will only eat what they like.  Never withhold water from your dog. Have fresh water available at all times. It is always best to seek vet assistance when you notice behaviors in your dog have changed as this can be a sign of illness or the onset of an illness. Thank you for your question.
