Question
Iam thinking abt buying 2 male puppies, both from same litter.i have been advised not to get 2 males due to them becoming aggresive, rather I have been advised on 1 male and 1 female, can you advise on your opinion here. The dogs will be as pets not for breeding or showing.
Thanks.

Answer
Both can get along- but a male and female do better.

There tends to be conflict with the alpha position as they reach maturity. If one personality is timid and doesn't care about alpha- it would be fine- but being puppies, one can't tell as yet.

A female and male seem to coexist in harmony- but the female will be more aggressive and the male will allow it.

If you choose a male and female- get them spayed and neutered to prevent mating and the hassle of heat cycles. It also helps prevent uterine cancer, breast cancer, and testicular cancer.
