Question
my new 16 month old boxer dog is so sleepy all the day. it is too friendly with evryone .even with strangers. it would just eat and sleep. it dont even cared to stand on calling and not even of anyone entering the house. at night it bark continously. its really irritating.

Answer
If you have a 1 1/2 (16 months) year old Boxer that is not active and sleeps most the time- and does not respond when called--- you need to take him or her to a vet.

At that young age, he or she should be active and sleep off and on during the day, come when called because Boxers crave affection and attention, and be responsive and alert.

What are you feeding him or her? Do you feed him or her a good high protein dog food? Are you allowing him or her eat whenever he or she wants-- by self-feeding; keeping fresh dog food and water out 24/7 for him or her to eat?

Barking at night- are you locking him or her up and that is causing the barking? Does he or she sleep in your bedroom near you at night?

Something you are doing is causing it- a dog does not bark at night unless being "locked" away alone.

I suggest you learn about dogs-- especially Boxers. You do not seem to know much about the breed.

I worry about the food you feed your dog-- since you are located in India- and I have concerns.
