Question
I have a 3 yr old fixed male and 2 yr old unspayed female. They have been together for a year with no signs of outward aggression. They play rough but nothing like today. My female went after my male for seemingly no reason and would not stop until I was able to grab her collar and pull her away.  My male did not return the aggression.  What can I do to restore harmony to our home.  This is the first time towards him she has shown that type of aggression.
Thank you.

Answer
Female Boxers are the aggressors and the males are not.

There is no easy solution because this was the first event and you possibly didn't see what took place.

Next time, leash her immediately, remove her away, and push her to the floor and hold her down into the submissive position for a few minutes until she submits to you.

Do this each time consistently.
