my 1 1/2 year old boxer jus gave birth to 5 puppies the last one came about 7 hrs ago and she still appears to be in labor   panting hard and kinda grunting of and on  i cant feel any puppies left inside by jus kinda squeezing her abdomen   i was jus wondering if this is normal  she has got up and moving around good jus seems like she might still have one inside   thanks

Answer
Then carry her to an emergency vet immediately if you feel she is in labor still- because when all pups are born, and when she is finished, she will lie down and clean her puppies and feed them and when they fall asleep- she will too.

So if she is still panting and pacing and not taking care of her pups- she could have an obstruction- a puppy stuck in the birth canal and cannot pass-- he will die within 10 minutes inside her birth canal.
