Question

Cody
Hello,
I got my male boxer puupy today. He is 9 weeks old. I noticed a couple things, he breaths very rapid when he sleeps, is that normal because of his size? He also has discharge or eye boogers if you will that form over and over after I wipe his eyes, any suggestions?
Thank you!

Answer
Boxers snore, as for breathing "rapid," could be dreaming, but if regularly breathing rapid-- it could be a problem.

As for eyes, some Boxers do have chronic "eye-boogers, depending on their genetics of their parents; inherited.

But, if he has pneumonia or distemper, or parvo, breathing problems and other symptoms can occur.

As with any new puppy-- get him to your vet ASAP for a check up. Make the seller prove to you he has had his 4 vaccinations including parvo and rabies.
