Question
Turning the big 40 in March and all I have in my home is a treadmill.  Well I just purchased a pretty decent heavy bag and plan to hang it in my garage.  I want to incorporate a cardio workout solely for the purpose of losing weight as I'm tired of simply hitting the ole' treadmill in the evening.  I have two questions:

1. I'm a beginner, what type of workout do u suggest for me to simply lose fat/lbs.

2. I now have the heavy bag and chains to hang it came with it, but now have to figure out how to hang it in my garage, which is a rather high ceiling.  Any suggestion as to what to get order or buy at the local Home Depot to hang my bag?     I read somewhere that you don't want more than 2ft of chain from the mount to the bag or it will move all over the place, so any suggestions on how to hang in a garage with high ceilings?

Thanks,

Scott

Answer
Any exercise that is very high in repetition is good for losing weight.  One of the best things for weight loss is cycling, but diet is the key to any weight loss program.  You could purchase a heavy bag hanger which is sold at www.ringside.com, but there is nothing wrong with a bag that swings if you hit it right you should be able to control the swing.

Thanks,

Joe
