Question
hey im 22 yrs old from Tuscaloosa,AL and i have a female boxer and a male MMA fighter wanting me to manage them but im not sure what all im supposed to do and what exactly my role is in order to get paid,like whats my duty as a manager,do i need a license,how do i make contracts for them to sign with me..etc. thanks

Hi J.J. - I'm not involved in pro boxing or MMA and we don't have managers in amateur boxing.  I suggest you contact the pro boxing commission in Alabama and, if they have one, the group in charge of MMA and see if they can answer your questions.  Good luck.

I can answer all questions related to amateur boxing except those having to do with the actual physical training. I am not a coach. 8-) 21 years as an amateur boxing official; certified computer scoring technician; have worked on many tournament administration staffs; have coordinated a major national invitational tournament; have served as secretary, treasurer and Junior Olympic Chairman at the local level.
