Question
im 22 yrs old from Alabama(we dont have a boxing commission)so first off when im ready how do i turn pro? since we have no commission here....also me and my trainer are having some issues between us but theres no other local trainers so is there any rules that prohibit me from competing amateur ranks if i dont have a trainer ,i also heard that you cant turn pro alone you have to have a trainer so what are my options?

Answer
Hi JJ,

I don't know much about Alabama Boxing, but there may be a boxing commission there soon. read this:

and apparently it passed

My first thought is you have very little chance of getting legitimate pro shot without a legitimate amateur record, so start here at USA boxing which is the national guide for legitimate amatuer competition.

The other option is to Move to a more boxing aggressive state. IF a boxing career is your lifelong goal, you may have to leave alabama at some point or another. Good luck with your quest.
